My Uverse \ internet will stop working at least once per day waiting a few minutes will usually start back up by itself. I have reset the router several times but as I said it will usually fix itself and both the TV and the Internet will come back.My router randomly reboots 3-5 times a day for at least the past six months. I've had two at&t techs out to check for problems but none were found. both times the replaced the router with a newer model. On 8/14/16 the tech install an NVG599 router.
